An Inspiring Season of Music

This season has already brought some unforgettable moments, including the Estonian premiere of Aegis with Kristiina Poska conducting and the world premiere of Phos Symphony under Clement Power at the AFEKT Festival. Both performances were deeply moving and left a profound impression, both musically and interpretatively.

The journey continues with exciting upcoming concerts. In December, To Become a Tree will be performed in Taiwan by the German ensemble Broken Frames Syndicate, with concerts at the Shifang Music Theater in Taipei and the Taichung National Opera House.

In January, Aegis will be featured in Montpellier with the Montpellier Occitanie National Orchestra, conducted by Kristiina Poska. The program will also include Bartók’s Viola Concerto and Brahms’ Symphony No. 3. Shortly after, Aegis will be performed in Bilbao with the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, again led by Kristiina Poska.

In March, Ensemble Floridante will present the world premiere of a new work as part of their program. This collaboration promises to bring fresh energy and interpretations to the music, offering opportunities for new ideas and a more intimate concert experience.

Later in the season, new works will have their world premieres in Estonia. The Estonian Festival Orchestra, under the baton of Paavo Järvi, will present a new piece at the Pärnu Music Festival, and the Glasperlenspiel Sinfonietta will premiere another work at the Glasperlenspiel Festival in Tartu.

It has already been a remarkable season, and there is so much more to look forward to. Hopefully, we will meet where the music comes to life!
