Founded more than three decades ago, the Zagros Ensemble is a group of broad-minded Finnish musicians concentrating on contemporary music and changes its line-up from one concert to another.
In Musica nova, the Zagros Ensemble’s concert explores the themes of rootedness, harmony and constant change: trembling, uprooting, changing landscapes, shared states of harmonious coexistence; the threat of uncontrollable processes, insecurity.
During the concert, Musica nova Helsinki’s artistic director Tuuli Lindeberg interviews composers Elis Hallik and Jukka-Pekka Lehto as well as conductor Petri Komulainen.
